Ten-year construction liability insurance.

For construction activities, the policy must match the trade and, above all, the activities actually declared to the insurer.

01

Understand before choosing

A review centred on your circumstances.

Professionals subject to the French ten-year liability regime must take out the required insurance before work begins.

02

Take out cover before work starts

The construction site must open while the policy is valid. The professional must provide the project owner with the required ten-year liability insurance certificate before the site opens.

03

Only declared activities are insured

The exact wording of the insured activities is critical. A policy should not be chosen on price alone: the techniques, trades and work actually performed must be declared and accepted by the insurer.

04

Not every construction professional is in the same legal position

The obligation depends on whether the professional qualifies as a builder under French law and on the nature of the work. Subcontractors without a direct contract with the project owner do not fall within the same ten-year liability regime, although they remain responsible for their contractual obligations to the main contractor.

Our approach

Compare the whole policy.

Price only makes sense alongside cover, deductibles, limits, exclusions and conditions. We collect the relevant information and present available solutions without promising cover that is not provided by the policy terms.
